More and more often you will find people who go running on the streets despite cold weather and rain. Running offers the opportunity to move around actively in nature independently of the season.
The region of Wachau offers all running enthusiasts the possibilities to run along kilometers of pathways along the Danube river or across the enchanting hilly landscape.
We will gladly provide information on the best running tracks and ideal starting points.
WACHAUMARATHON

Emmersdorf has a reputation as the starting village for the Wachau marathon.
Schould you be starting as an active participant as the second biggest marathon event in Austria, or want to watch the even from the side, we will be your best host
in both categories.
Enjoy sleeping in and having a relaxed breakfast, and just crossing the road to watch the marathon start - is there any more enjoyable way to see a marathon start!

ROLLER SKATER
Emmersdorf is offering a small "skater-park" for enthusiastic skaters, just next to the harbour inn.
Longer tours with your skaters you can take along the river Danube on the bike-path Passau-Vienna or around the "Danube-power-station" in Melk.
